The Stadium in Lublin is – next to the Stadium in Tychy – the “least experienced” of all the arenas where the matches of UEFA European Under-21 Championship Poland 2017 will be held. Its construction started in December 2012, and the stadium was opened in September 2014. The total investment amounted to nearly PLN 180 million. The stadium has UEFA third category. In addition to several thousand seats, there are 18 lodges, including two presidential. A huge parking facility which can accommodate more than 1000 cars is located at the Stadium.
The opening of the Arena Lublin was graced by many concerts of Polish music stars. Also Motor Lublin team played the inaugural match against Stal Rzeszow. The stadium was filled to the last seat. Two weeks later the Polish U20 national team played in Lublin a friendly match against Italy and eventually won 2:1. In October the first match for points took place at Arena Lublin – Motor and Lublinianka met in derby match.
In July 2015 Lublin Arena hosted the international tournament Lotto Cup. The participating teams were Lechia Gdańsk, Shakhtar Donetsk, AS Monaco and Hannover 96 – the eventual victor.

Motor Lublin is a club existing since 1950. Participating in the highest level of competition for nine seasons it won its highest place – 9th – in 1984/1985 season. Motor alumni are some of the prominent Polish representatives – Jacek Bąk and Wladyslaw Żmuda. Currently the team from Lublin is in the third league.
